The Jamaica Preclearance Program is a cooperative venture between the U.S.D.A and the J.M.O.A. which serves to expedite the entry of Jamaican agricultural produce onto the U.S. market. It does this by offering services such as: Inspection, Fumigation, Certification in addition to Supervision of produce packing into Air/Sea Containers.

The USDA-APHIS staff in Jamaica is a five-strong team committed to working alongside its Jamaican counterpart in ‘Protecting American Agriculture.’ The staff is comprised of qualified individuals boasting three Masters and two Bachelors degrees. In addition each is a Certified Pesticide Applicator and has immense on-the-job training in their specific areas altogether amounting to over 50 years of agricultural experience.
