STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO PRECLEARING YOUR GOODS
Step one: You must possess a certified packing
house. Certifications are done by the Ministry of Agriculture.
See: Packing House Requirements
Step two: You must be a Registered Exporter. Registration
of exporters is done at JAMPRO and the Ministry of
Agriculture.
Step three: Schedule an appointment with the Plant
Quarantine division of the Ministry of Agriculture for
inspection and/or fumigation. Contact #s : 876-924-8736 or 876-924-8906
Step four: Make your way to the Agricultural Export
Complex near you and follow the preclearance instructions listed.
Step five: Send ‘Prior notice of Export’
to the Food and Drug administration Office in the U.S. at least
24hrs before the shipment lands in the U.S. Log on to www.fda.gov
to achieve this.

STOP THREE: CUSTOMS OFFICE
